India Haus is a litigator specialising in civil and commercial litigation, liability insurance matters and health and safety.

She has worked on a range of professional indemnity, public liability and statutory liability claims. She also advises clients on their health and safety obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

India has experience as an international lawyer advising on complex global health law challenges.

She was a global health law scholar at Georgetown University while studying towards her LLM.

India recently returned to New Zealand after working at the United Nations in New York City as a lawyer specialising in dispute resolution and administrative law.

Recent Highlights

  • Developed international legal policy for the United Nations Development Programme in New York City.
  • Assisted in developing the legal framework "The Human Rights Principles for Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response" in collaboration with the Global Health Law Consortium and the Commission of International Jurists, which were presented at the 76th World Health Assembly in Geneva.
