Jessica specialises in commercial property, advising clients on a range of transactions including developments, acquisitions, disposals, leasing and overseas investment.
Prior to joining Chapman Tripp, Jessica spent several years working in the United Kingdom. She worked in the commercial development and investment team at Gowling WLG, acting for both investors and developers on a wide range of commercial property matters. She also worked in the corporate real estate team at Eversheds Sutherland, acting for large corporate occupier clients on general estate management matters and disposal and acquisition programmes.
Working for these international firms on a range of diverse commercial property transactions means Jessica can help clients to maximise their property investments and navigate their way through complex transactions.
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, Jessica advised Blackstone on the £4.66b acquisition of UK student accommodation company IQ from Goldman Sachs - UK's largest private real estate transaction.
- Working closely with the project lead, Jessica advised Queensgate Investment on the £1b acquisition of the Grange hotels, a group of four luxury hotels in London.
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, Jessica advised Blackstone and Telereal Trillium on a complex portfolio transaction worth £1.46b. This involved the acquisition of the Network Rail’s commercial estate portfolio of 5,200 properties across England and Wales.
- Provided due diligence support for Realty Income Corporation, a US-based organisation, on the £429m acquisition of 12 UK Sainsbury’s superstores from British Land.
