Doug specialises in financial services law, with a focus on regulation and compliance.
Doug advises a broad range of domestic and international clients, including banks, insurers, payment providers, fund managers, financial advisers, licensed entities, supervisors and fintech startups. He also advises on the regulatory aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions, including post-completion implementation matters. Before joining Chapman Tripp, Doug worked as an in-house lawyer at the Financial Markets Authority, where he advised on a wide range of regulatory matters.
