Sophie is a member of Chapman Tripp’s competition team, advising clients across a range of industries on competition, consumer law and regulatory matters.
She advises on mergers and joint ventures, collaborative activities, cartel investigations and misuse of market power. Sophie regularly engages with the Commerce Commission on merger control, enforcement and investigations. She has experience assisting clients with large-scale cartel investigations, including leniency applications and extensive information requests, and has particular expertise in the telecommunications and electricity sectors.
Sophie is recognised as a Leading Associate by Legal 500 Asia Pacific and was named a Future Legal Leader by NZ Lawyer in 2026.
