Morgan specialises in litigation and dispute resolution, and is a member of Te Waka Ture, our Māori legal group.

Morgan advises on all areas of litigation. She has a keen interest in Māori legal issues, corporate governance and intellectual property.

Before Morgan worked at Chapman Tripp she was a Judges' clerk for two years at Te Kōti Matua o Aotearoa, Tāmaki Makaurau rohe (the Auckland High Court).  She has also recently returned from completing her tohu (level 5 diploma) in te reo Māori and te ao Māori at Te Wānanga Takiura o Ngā Kura Kaupapa Māori o Aotearoa.

Morgan is from Ngāpuhi and Ngāti Whātua ki Kaipara.

Recent highlights

  • Assisting Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu in claims for recognition of Ngāi Tahu rangatiratanga over freshwater.
  • Assisting Zuru in proceedings against the Lego Group concerning trade mark protection, passing off and breaches of the Fair Trading Act 1986.
  • Advising Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust on a range of strategic and commercial matters.
