Maiya specialises in major projects and construction, advising clients undertaking construction and infrastructure projects across various sectors.
Maiya acts for a diverse range of clients, including local and central government entities, principals, lenders, and contractors. Her practice encompasses all stages of the project life cycle, from advising on procurement strategy and drafting and negotiating project contracts, to contract administration and project delivery.
She has a strong understanding of and regularly advises on a variety of contract types, including the NZS, NEC and FIDIC standard forms, consultancy agreements, EPC and O&M contracts and alliance arrangements as well as bespoke contracts.
