Taoran is a civil litigator with expertise in public and commercial law. She advises clients on complex disputes and has particular experience in judicial review proceedings, public law issues and appellate advocacy.

Prior to joining Chapman Tripp, Taoran practised at a specialist commercial litigation firm in Auckland and at the Crown Law Office, where she appeared in the High Court and Supreme Court. She also served as Private Secretary to the Attorney-General during a secondment to the Office of the Attorney-General. Taoran speaks Mandarin Chinese.
