Liora specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, advising on complex corporate disputes.
She has particular experience in corporate and commercial disputes, and class actions. Liora has acted on various schemes of arrangement and advises corporate clients on regulatory and securities matters, including NZX investigations and disciplinary proceedings. Liora also has expertise on defamation and media standards, privacy and data protection issues.
Liora has a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne. She contributes to Morison’s Company and Securities Law. Liora has also completed secondments for two large New Zealand businesses, where she provided in-house legal support on a range of commercial matters.

- Representing Skellerup in defending a litigation-funded claim on product liability, including successfully defending an application that the claim be brought as an opt-out class action.
- Acted for an NZX-listed issuer defend a regulatory proceeding in the New Zealand Markets Disciplinary Tribunal.
- Acted for Zuru in proceedings against the Lego Group concerning trade mark protection, passing off and breaches of the Fair Trading Act 1986.
- Assisting in the freezing and recovery of misappropriated assets.
- Acting for a significant creditor and account holder of digital assets in the liquidation of cryptocurrency trading platform, Cryptopia.
- Represented an advertiser in an Advertising Standards Authority competitor complaint.
- Acted for Metlifecare in its dispute over Asia Pacific Village Group’s (owned by EQT Infrastructure IV fund) purported termination of an agreement to acquire the Metlifecare business, and subsequently obtaining Court orders to give effect to the NZ$1.3b acquisition.
- Acted for the Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust in obtaining High Court approval to implement a significant restructure to establish a new charitable trust to benefit the local community in Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty region.
- Represented the New Zealand Shareholders Association as a respondent in Burger Fuel’s proceeding seeking Court orders approving a scheme of arrangement.
