We are delighted that Guy Houghton Jones and Liora Bercovitch have been recognised as Future Legal Leaders by NZ Lawyer.
Guy Houghton Jones is a Senior Associate in our technology, media and telecommunications practice. He is a transactional lawyer, focussing on technology and telecommunications projects, digital infrastructure, intellectual property, procurement, outsourcing, and privacy and data protection.
Guy has played a leading role in major transactions, including advising Connexa and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan on their acquisition of American Tower’s New Zealand entities, as well as Connexa’s previous acquisition of 2degrees’ passive mobile network tower assets for NZ$1.076b and Ontario Teachers’ acquisition of Spark’s passive mobile network towers business for NZ$1.115b. He has also advised major banking industry participants on outsourcing and technology transformation arrangements and provided expert guidance on AI regulation and governance.

Liora Bercovitch is a Senior Associate in our litigation practice. She specialises in corporate and commercial disputes, securities matters, and privacy issues. She has over a decade of experience and has appeared in numerous High Court and Court of Appeal hearings and alternative dispute resolution forums, leading major commercial litigation cases.
Liora has notable experience in complex commercial litigation, including assisting Arvida to obtain Court approval for a major scheme of arrangement, defending Skellerup in a litigation-funded product liability claim, and acting for NZX-listed issuers defend regulatory investigations and proceedings. She has also contributed to Chapman Tripp’s thought leadership on securities regulation, data protection, and class actions, and played a key role in mentoring junior lawyers.
