Guy specialises in all aspects of commercial property law, including acquisitions and disposals, lease transactions (across office, retail and industrial sectors), property finance, subdivisions and development.
He has experience advising a variety of clients including major property investors, lenders, developers and other businesses, especially in relation to high value, complex transactions. Guy has recently returned to New Zealand after four years in London where he worked as a senior associate in the real estate team at Allen & Overy LLP.
Recent highlights
- Advising a major investment bank on its development financing of the £800m data centre development at Sough being undertaken by Yondr. The data centre campus is planned to have a total capacity of 100MW once fully developed.
- Acted for J.P. Morgan on its acquisition of Times Place, 45 Pall Mall, London, for £110m.
- Advising Mapletree Investments in its lease negotiations with (i) Three UK in relation to 450 Longwater Avenue, Green Park (circa 119,000sqf) and (ii) Amazon in relation to 400 Brook Drive, Green Park (circa 50,000sqf).
- Acted for Melford Capital Partners in relation to its acquisitions of the Castle Club, Fulham, London, as well as three retail parks across the UK.
