Chapman Tripp is legal advisor to EBOS Group Limited (EBOS) on its recent equity raising, structured as a fully underwritten placement that successfully raised approximately NZ$217 million, along with an ongoing non-underwritten retail offer that raised NZ$58 million.
The funds raised have been used to fund EBOS' recent acquisitions of SVS Veterinary Supplies and the remaining 10% stake in medical technology distributor, Transmedic, with the remainder used to provide further balance sheet capacity to fund additional future growth opportunities. The placement, underwritten by UBS, was strongly supported by a broad range of existing and new investors across New Zealand, Australia, and offshore.
The Chapman Tripp team of Partners Roger Wallis and Tom Jemson, Senior Solicitor Findlay Jacob-Sauer, and Solicitor Elin Harris provided support to EBOS on the equity raise.
“EBOS' ability to successfully complete this capital raise during a time of heightened geopolitical volatility is a promising sign and shows the effectiveness of the public equity markets in both New Zealand and Australia” said Roger Wallis.
Chapman Tripp’s involvement in this significant transaction underscores our expertise and leadership in advising on high-value capital market transactions.
