We are delighted to share that Lushomo Thebe, a solicitor in our corporate practice specialising in technology, media and telecommunications, has been selected to join the Asia New Zealand Foundation’s Leadership Network.
The Foundation recently announced its newest cohort of young leaders selected for the Leadership Network, which aims to equip the next generation of Kiwi leaders with the connections, knowledge, and confidence to engage with the Asia region. Each year, the programme receives hundreds of applications from a wide range of sectors, with only a select few chosen.
Lushomo said, “In my work, I see how important Asia is to our legal and commercial landscape, and I’m inspired by the relationships and trust built across cultures. Joining the Leadership Network is a fantastic opportunity to learn from others and help strengthen our connections with Asia for the benefit of our business community and Aotearoa. I’m excited to get started and see where this journey leads.”
Lushomo works with a range of clients on commercial contracts, privacy, intellectual property and innovation.
In 2022, Lushomo was named one of 25 women under 25 making a significant difference in Aotearoa New Zealand by YWCA. She has since become a YWCA board member. Additionally, Lushomo is listed on Gender at Work Speaker Directory as a speaker and advocate for women’s and migrant rights. In 2024 she spoke at Festival for the Future, Aotearoa's biggest leadership and innovation summit.
We are proud to see Lushomo’s achievements recognised on a national stage and extend our warm congratulations on this accomplishment.
