Chapman Tripp has won the Most Innovative National Law Firm (New Zealand) Award in the IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards for the third time.
The award recognises the firm's work on significant international deals – that includes advising AMP on the sale of AMP Life to Resolution Life Group for AU$3.3b, Shell on the sale of its NZ upstream oil & gas operations to OMV for NZ$794m, and ANZ Bank on its sale of OnePath Life NZ for NZ$700m to Cigna Corporation – and the novel approach we employ on each of these deals.
Chapman Tripp Hoa Rangapū Whakarae (Chief Executive Partner) Nick Wells said, “This international recognition reflects the value of the results that we achieve for our clients. It is a good start to 2019 as we continue our focus in best working alongside our clients, our people and wider community.
“The IFLR Awards are among the most prestigious in the industry. We are delighted to have taken out the New Zealand award for the third time,” Wells added.
Presented in Hong Kong last night, the award celebrates legal innovation across the most significant international deals in the Asia Pacific region.
