Ruth specialises in corporate and securities law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), equity capital markets and corporate governance.
Ruth's experience spans general corporate advisory work, M&A, capital raising and regulation of New Zealand's equity capital markets.
Prior to joining Chapman Tripp, Ruth worked at the New Zealand Takeovers Panel, the principal regulator of the corporate takeovers market. In her time at the Takeovers Panel, Ruth advised on a number of takeovers and other change of control transactions for public and widely held companies. Ruth also completed a secondment in the Issuer Regulation team at NZX Regulation Limited, the regulatory arm of NZX, where she advised on compliance with the NZX Listing Rules by listed companies across a range of transactions and corporate governance matters.
Recent highlights
- Acting for ASX listed Locate Technologies Limited on the migration of its listing to the NZX Main Board via a court approved scheme of arrangement and related capital raise.
