We are thrilled that Chapman Tripp Partner Kylie Mutch has been recognised in NZ Lawyer’s 2026 Elite Women list.
The list celebrates outstanding women in the legal profession who are making a significant impact through their leadership, expertise, and contribution to the profession.
Chapman Tripp Chief Executive Partner, Pip England, said, “Kylie is an exceptional construction and major projects lawyer whose work is delivering some of New Zealand’s most significant infrastructure, energy and health projects. She is highly regarded for her strategic insight, commercial judgement and ability to guide clients through complex, high-stakes developments. Kylie is also deeply committed to supporting the next generation of women in law, making this recognition especially well deserved.”
Kylie has recently advised on a number of nationally significant energy, transport and health projects. Her work includes Mercury’s 10-year refurbishment programme for the Maraetai I, Ātiamuri and Ōhākurī hydro power stations, and the procurement and installation of the new fifth unit at Mercury’s Ngā Tamariki Geothermal Station - projects that will make an important contribution to New Zealand’s energy security and generation capacity.
She has also worked closely with City Rail Link Limited on the delivery of the City Rail Link project under an alliance contract model. As New Zealand’s largest infrastructure project, City Rail Link will be transformational for Tāmaki Makaurau.
In the health sector, Kylie regularly acts for Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora on major hospital development and refurbishment projects, including Manukau Health Park and the Mauri Ora – Rotorua Acute Mental Health Facility.
Kylie was recognised as a Next Generation Partner in Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2025.
